About This Episode

Thanksgiving marks the start for all of us to feel that holiday buzz. As the Christmas season draws near, many of us are already thinking about this magical time of the year. Yummy food, all the Christmas presents, and of course, don’t forget your Christmas mimosa! Whatever this holiday concoction may be for you, go ahead, you do you.

But in the midst of all the holiday cheers and merriment, entrepreneurs (hello you and me) may already be thinking about the coming year and how that will look like, both from an entrepreneurial and personal point of view. And this is the perfect time to be reflecting on the incoming year. So pop the cork, go on parties with friends and loved ones, enjoy a good holiday shopping spree – because heck, you deserve it! But take this as your gentle reminder to dust off that planning journal (or if you’re a techie, your favorite journaling or notetaking app), and list down all the important things there is to know about a year-end business review.

In this episode, I share with you my planning strategies to finish the year strong while also setting aside time for reflection, evaluation, and planning that will set you up for more success in the coming year. Doing a year-end review will be your foundation as you build plans that align with your goals.

In this conversation, we discuss:

  • Doing the following reviews:
    • Budget
    • Sales
    • Marketing
    • Systems
    • Vendors
  • Conducting a S.W.O.T. analysis
  • Celebrating accomplishments
  • Updating and auditing your website
  • Preparing for tax season
